LatinX Community

IM Hispanic/LatinX goal is to create a collaborative ecosystem within the Hispanic community to drive digital infrastructure awareness.

Objectives

  • Create a community of datacenter professionals, educational institutions and potential future employers.
  • Utilize digital platforms to drive awareness, collaboration and link people to opportunities including scholarships, education training programs, mentorship etc.
  • Partner with local schools to promote Technology Days, career workshops, internships and mentorships.
  • Align with Industry leaders to leverage existing programs
  • Attract, retain and develop the next generation of infrastructure leaders.
  • Educate and encourage iMasons on how to tap this exploding community with a median age of 24

IM Hispanic/LatinX Global Executive Sponsor

Ivonne Valdes, the WW VP of sales for the Cloud and Service Provider Segment at Schneider Electric. She has over 30 years’ experience building and implementing transformational GTM strategies in the data center industry. She has driven positive change, managed acquisitions and consolidations, new product development announcements for multiple Fortune 500 companies.

In her current role, she has global sales responsibility to deliver a holistic customer-centric experience, as well as business model and alignment across multiple business units. Under her leadership, Ivonne has delivered double digit growth year on year and taken the Cloud & Service Provider (C&SP) segment from number 5 to 1 at Schneider Electric. As the leader in charge of the company’s top segment – with customers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Apple .

Prior to Schneider Electric Ivonne held leadership positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Oracle/Sun Corporation. Always focused on global sales transformation and growth. During her tenure at HPE, she transformed the GTM model to address the changing market dynamics from direct to indirect. In 2014, Ivonne was awarded the HPE customer satisfaction and quality award and in 2016 CRN power-100-the-most-powerful-women-of-the-channel, Top 10 LATINA Executives of the Year for 2015, CRN Women of the Channel 2015 and CRN Women of the Channel 2014

Ivonne currently serves on the board of the Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council (HITEC) foundation and has been included in its Top 100 list of the most influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the IT industry nine times. The HITEC Foundation’s mission is to enable the next generation of technology talent, that happens to be LatinX, through a lifecycle that begins with students and uses the power of its community to continuously inspire forward. Ivonne believes in the pull up/push up. She mentors both emerging executives as well as young students.

Ivonne also serves on the Infrastructure Masons Educational Committee and the recipient of the 2019 iM Global Inclusion and Diversity Champion award.

IM Hispanic/LatinX Group Co-Chair

Claudia Massey is the Global Vice President of Business Operations for the Cloud & Service Provider Segment for Schneider Electric.  In her current role, she leads a team that integrates digital transformation with operational excellence to achieve a consistent full life cycle experience to cloud and colocation clients globally.   She has over 20 years of experience working for Fortune 500 Companies, and is experienced in building digital operations, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and quality teams within the IT industry.

In 2019 Claudia was recognized as one of the top 100 most influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the IT industry by Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council (HITEC). In 2018, she was appointed as a commissioner to the Mexican American Culture Center (MACC) Advisory Board in Austin, Texas.  Claudia was also highlighted and recognized as a member of CRN’s Women of the Channel list for 2017, which identifies female executives in the IT channel who exhibit outstanding expertise and vision in their roles.

Claudia is very passionate about diversity and inclusion, as she founded the Women Professional Development Network (WPDN) group and the Hispanic in Partnership (HIP) group at Applied Materials. As part of the MACC Advisory Board, Claudia volunteers her time to bring awareness of the Latin Community in Austin and to drive better conditions for Latin artists in her city.

In addition to be a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Claudia holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio Texas, and a Masters of Manufacturing Management from The Pennsylvania State University.
