Tech giant Google has opened expressions of interest for their Australian Data Centre Hardware Hackathon, scheduled for Friday 27th of September 2024 at Google’s Sydney office in Pyrmont.
Participants will work together in teams to tackle hardware challenges and learn about some of the work that supports the operation of Google Data Centres. In doing so, they’ll discover what it’s like to work at a Google Data Centre and what it means to be a ‘Googley’ Data Centre Technician.
If you are currently studying at an Australian university and have a basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows etc), networking and computer hardware, you can apply to attend the event in-person at your own cost.
iMasons Australia Local Chapter encourages eligible members to register their interest in this exclusive Hackathon, which promises to be a transformative experience for fostering collaboration, innovation, awareness, and a more robust talent pool for the digital infrastructure industry.
