Ask Pete Jones what his colleagues and clients like most about him, and he’ll consider his words carefully before answering. That’s because in an industry full of jargon and acronyms, Pete always strives to speak plainly, factually and candidly. Pete is rare because he has worked at every stage in the data center product lifecycle, and so he blends his communication skills with a deep understanding of fast-paced and complex hyperscale projects. The result is the ability to clearly and capably direct teams and products on some of the largest technical real estate projects in the world.
Pete began his career designing data centers, and to this day, retains a passion for electrical engineering as a means to achieving the seemingly impossible. Inspired by its visionary leadership, access to real capital, and energetic team culture, Pete joined Yondr in 2018, and has embraced his role with a determination to do what he’s always wanted to do: build amazing things with great people.
Pete’s role at Yondr includes site selection and acquisition, development strategy, construction management and client success. He is energised by the idea that with technology, anything is possible. Pete’s blue sky yonder can be found at sea; he recently returned from a trip on a small sailing yacht from the UK to New Zealand.
