Working with the iMasons Board of Directors and colleagues, Simon is responsible for design and execution of strategic plans with a focus on Member and Partner support and will be instrumental in expanding the global coverage and helping to establish iM as the professional association for our industry.
Simon has worked in the Data Center sector for over 15 years managing international teams supporting Global Data Center and Communication infrastructures.
Simon is London based and founded the UK Data Centre Interest Group (UKDCIG) in 2011, which was set up to share experiences amongst Data Center Operators and Design & Build consultants to explore innovative methodologies and technologies. The successful UKDCIG format will be included at local iM Events to complement the valuable iM Workshops where industry leaders and great minds meet to solve the complex problems and challenges that lie ahead as our industry continues to grow and evolve.
Simon is also a co-founder and Director of Data Center Incident Reporting Network (DCiRN) A non-profit initiative aimed at making Data Centers safer and more reliable by anonymously sharing information on incidents.
Over his career Simon held several executive roles with UUNet, MCI WorldCom, Cyclades and Avocent, including EMEA Director and Regional Manager Middle East and Africa.
