Infrastructure Masons Welcomes Grundfos as Global Partner to Drive Water and Energy Efficiency in Digital Infrastructure
Washington, DC — January 30, 2026 — Infrastructure Masons (iMasons), a non-profit professional association dedicated to building a brighter digital future, today announced that Grundfos, a global leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology, has joined the organization as a Global Partner. This strategic collaboration will leverage Grundfos’ expertise in intelligent fluid dynamics to accelerate the industry’s pursuit of greater water and energy efficiency.
Founded in 1945, Grundfos has a long-standing history of pioneering solutions for the world’s water and climate challenges. In the digital infrastructure sector, Grundfos provides highly efficient, intelligent pump systems for critical applications, including air and liquid cooling systems, water treatment, and water distribution. Their advanced solutions are engineered to optimize a data center’s Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), ensuring reliable uptime, while minimizing environmental impact. By embedding intelligent controls and variable-speed drives, Grundfos enables demand-driven operations that significantly reduce energy and water consumption.
The partnership between Grundfos and iMasons is rooted in a powerful, shared commitment to improve sustainability and innovation. With data center water and energy consumption under increasing scrutiny globally, Grundfos’ leadership in optimizing fluid handling systems directly supports the core pillars of the iMasons community and the mission of the iMasons Climate Accord (iCA). As a Global Partner, Grundfos will be instrumental in advancing iMasons’ initiatives focused on innovation and efficiency by providing essential expertise for the deployment of intelligent, high-efficiency liquid-cooling architectures, contributing best practices for water treatment to help data centers achieve aggressive WUE reduction targets, and driving the adoption of smart, demand-driven pumping systems to reduce cooling-related energy consumption, thereby lowering PUE across the industry.
“Cooling data centers shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense, and we believe it doesn’t have to,” said David McLean, Senior Sales Manager, Grundfos. “At Grundfos, we share a deep responsibility with the data center industry to push for ever more energy‑efficient, low‑impact cooling and water management solutions. Backed by over 80 years of innovation, we’re proud to be the world’s first water solutions company with net‑zero targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. But technology alone isn’t enough,” continued McLean. “We’re committed to building a strong global data center community within Grundfos and bringing together our teams, partners, and industry insights to unlock new opportunities and accelerate the shift toward sustainable, resilient growth. Together, we’re shaping the next generation of data centers by rethinking how water is managed, conserved, and optimized to support the world’s digital future.”
“We are proud to welcome Grundfos as a Global Partner,” said Cyre Mercedes Quiñones, CEO, Infrastructure Masons. “Grundfos’ long-standing commitment to sustainability and heritage of innovation bring meaningful capability to the iMasons community at a time when the industry must fundamentally rethink how it manages water and energy at scale. Their technical expertise and perspective will help accelerate smarter, more efficient outcomes across the digital infrastructure ecosystem.
“Through this Global Partnership, Infrastructure Masons and Grundfos are addressing the urgent need for resource optimization in the digital age, reinforcing a shared commitment to the collaboration and innovation required to build a more sustainable and resilient digital future.”
ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURE MASONS
Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) is a global, nonprofit, professional association of individuals connected and empowered to build a greater digital future for all by uniting people that innovate to drive efficiency. Since its launch in 2016, the organization has brought together 6,000 individuals representing US $1.5T+ in infrastructure projects across 130 countries. iMasons provides an agnostic platform for members to connect, grow, and give back.
To date, iMasons has contributed USD 1+ million in scholarships, launched Member Focus Groups and opened regional and local Chapters across four continents. In 2022, iMasons spearheaded the Climate Accord, uniting leaders on carbon reduction in digital infrastructure. In 2025, iMasons launched a power initiative that brings together industry stakeholders and the energy sector to address U.S. power capacity timing challenges and accelerate time to power. iMasons publishes an annual State of the Digital Infrastructure Industry report with input from its global community of technology, operations and business professionals.
