iMasons names Jeff Omelchuck as 2024 Luminary

This award is presented to individuals who’ve made outstanding contributions that have facilitated the sustainable growth of digital infrastructure to the benefit of global economies, the planet, and humanity.

The 2024 Luminary Inductee is Jeff Omelchuck.

As the Executive Director of Infrastructure Masons for nearly seven years, Jeff Omelchuck brought balanced and pragmatic leadership, diplomacy, and patience to the task of uniting the builders of the digital age around the vision of a greater digital future. He translated big ideas into structured frameworks and programs that deliver results across iMasons’ four pillars of education, inclusion, innovation, and sustainability and positioned iMasons for continued growth and success. His leadership and diplomacy were paramount to the successful development, launch, and stewardship of the iMasons Climate Accord, which unites a coalition of industry companies on carbon reduction in digital infrastructure and required alignment with the iMasons Advisory Council, industry partners, and time-sensitive market demand.

Jeff retired from his role as iMasons Executive Director in October. Prior to joining iMasons, he founded the Green Electronics Council and managed its flagship program, EPEAT, from startup to the premier eco-rating program for electronics. EPEAT is used by thousands of public organizations and private enterprises world-wide to specify and choose greener electronics. Jeff started his career in the tech industry in the Silicon Valley, and later owned and managed a small consultancy.  He received an MS from Stanford University on an Executive Fellowship in the Honors Co-op Program. He lives in Portland, Oregon, where he is an avid(ish) backcountry skier and road cyclist.

“Jeff helped make iMasons what it is today. He was able to take many of my crazy ideas and turn them into reality. But just as important, he made sure we were practical about what we should and should not do. I appreciated his level headedness, professionalism and dedication to our members, partners and the overall digital infrastructure community. All the best in your retirement Jeff. Well earned!" -Dean Nelson, Founder and Chairman Infrastructure Masons

Congratulations, Jeff!
