Our Sustainability Champion, Joe Kava
In 2019, this distinguished award was proudly presented to one of our own iMasons members, Joe Kava. At the time, Joe was the Vice President of Data Centers at Google, where he led the charge in pioneering sustainable practices on a global scale.
He was recognized for his instrumental role in Google’s achievement of purchasing over 3,500 MW of renewable energy and for engineering data centers with an incredibly efficient Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2 or lower.
As true “builders of the Digital Age,” leaders like Joe Kava demonstrate that monumental growth in digital infrastructure can and must be achieved responsibly. His work has set a powerful precedent, inspiring the entire industry to pursue a more sustainable future.
