Infrastructure Masons Appoints Cyre Mercedes Quiñones as Chief Executive Officer
Washington, DC – January 5, 2025 Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) is proud to announce the appointment of Cyre Mercedes Quiñones as Chief Executive Officer. A proven executive and community builder, Quiñones brings more than 15 years of experience leading global businesses and partnering with senior leaders across the technology and infrastructure ecosystem to her new role.
Prior to becoming CEO of iMasons, Quiñones held leadership positions at Schneider Electric, where she oversaw the strategic direction and operations of a $300M global business. Her career has consistently focused on translating high-level vision into operational execution, balancing growth with purpose at scale. As CEO, she will guide iMasons into its next chapter by focusing efforts on key industry challenges of time to power, industry perception, people resource shortages, industry decarbonization efforts to protect the planet and critical policy work to deliver on the largest growth demands in the history of digital infrastructure. Cyre plans to help expand on strategic initiatives such as the iMasons Climate Accord, Time to Power consortium, iMasons Social Accord, iMasons Foundation and the recently announced iMasons AI Incubator.
Quiñones’ leadership approach is rooted in transparency and a belief that digital infrastructure must be deeply connected to the communities it serves. Her journey from the Bronx to global boardrooms has shaped a leadership style that prioritizes opportunity and representation as drivers of lasting impact.
“Cyre’s extensive experience managing large-scale global operations, combined with her dedication to the people who build our industry, makes her the ideal leader for this organization,” said Dean Nelson, Founder & Chairman of Infrastructure Masons. “Cyre has been a member of iMasons for almost four years making significant contributions to many of our programs including leading the development of the iMasons Social Accord. We are confident that her vision will not only strengthen our platform but help our community continue to drive meaningful progress across the globe.”
A recognized advocate for underrepresented leaders, Quiñones was named Data Center Dynamics’ first-ever Woman of the Year in 2023. She has also been honored as a Mission Critical Magazine Top 25 Women in Technology and is a two-time recipient of the HITEC Top 100 Hispanics in Technology award. Her appointment reinforces iMasons’ commitment to uniting the builders of the digital age to create a better digital future for all.
“We are entering a new era defined by transparency, purpose, and growth. I’m honored to lead this next chapter as we move forward together, no longer just part of the community but truly of it, building a bold future where all can thrive,” said Cyre Mercedes Quiñones.
