Datacloud UK & Ireland 2021 was a massive success as industry representatives were able to meet in person place to discuss how to reach young talent, close the talent gap and grow the digital infrastructure industry. The panel included our very own Simon Allen, as well as Poppy Addison-Camm, Rebecca Wall-Morris, and notes from Emma Fryer.

The room held a lively conversation with the main outcomes being the following:

• Recruitment outside of the industry: How to find other professionals that could make a big change within the digital infrastructure world
• Identifying transferable skills: Attention to detail, engineering backgrounds, veteran experience, etc
• School/youth outreach: Reaching the minds of the educators, students, and parents
• How to shift the mindset of the current generation and make the industry more appealing to those looking to secure a full-time position
