DCD>EnergySmart and Webscale
Hyperscalers set the tone for both the physical and logical data center. What is innovated, developed and perfected in the internet- and cloud-first universe will soon be adapted to the other two classes: enterprise and multi-tenant lease, hosting, colocation managed services.
ISO/IEC 30134 has made reporting and comparing PUE more reliable and consistent, but it is still difficult to evaluate the actual performance of a data center, whether hyperscale , enterprise, or MTDC. To help make this easier, iMasons leveraged the experience of our community to develop the Data Center Performance Index (DCPI).
Jeff Omelchuck, iMasons Executive Director, led a roundtable discussion at DCD>EnergySmart titled “Going beyond PUE and tier classifications.”
