Food for Thought – Seattle, WA
$15,000 raised in our most successful Food For Thought fundraising dinner to date.
On July 3, 2019 we convened a great group of iMasons industry professionals in Seattle, Washington to connect, grow and give back.
Many of the members who attended the dinner had never met each other. Others had worked in the same team at some point in their career and moved on to other companies and challenges. They represented professionals who have worked at amazing companies such as AFL Hyperscale, Avaya, Compass Data Centers, EdgeCore, GoDaddy, INNOV4, Microsoft, Natron Energy, RagingWire, Uber and Zayo.
A special shout out to Christian Belady and Mark Monroe from Microsoft for hosting the dinner and donating $5,000 to the scholarship fund.
We also had a special bonus that evening when Tom Traugott from EdgeCore and Nancy Novak from Compass data centers each matched Microsoft’s gift increasing the donating on to $15,000 making this the most successful Food For Thought dinner to date!
We had a great time awarding the Education Champion medals to our sponsors on behalf of iMason’s leadership team.
The FFT dinners support the iMasons $1M education challenge by raising money for scholarships with 50% to be awarded to women and other underrepresented groups.
Each dinner guest had a great time sharing stories, reminiscing and enjoying a meal together.
Another special shout out to Amber Caramella, an amazing champion of the iMasons D&I and Education efforts and the most attended and successfully FFT member. Amber attended Phoenix, Seattle, and was the emcee for our largest FFT fundraiser – the iMasons D&I Gala in Monaco, June 2019. Amber’s personal participation has helped raise $2,395 for the scholarship fund. Close on her heels are Jack Pouchet at $1,764 and Adnan Adil at $1,653!
Thank you to all of our incredible attendees for an amazing evening! You truly are diversity and education champions!
