Food for Thought – Phoenix, AZ

Food for Thought – Phoenix, AZ

Food for Thought – Phoenix, AZ

11 March, 2019 |

On March 11, 2019 Infrastructure Masons members gathered at Fleming’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale for the first Food For Thought dinner in Arizona!

Food For Thought dinners are members-only events that raise money for our scholarship fund supporting $1M Education Challenge that we launched in London in November of 2018. Just by showing up, each member personally helps raise $500 for scholarships, of which 50% are awarded to women. No money is expected out of their pocket. We just want their experience and expertise. We leave our companies at the door and connect as individuals.

Our second dinner event gathered a great group of members. It was clear that each of these folks care about education, diversity and giving back to our community.

Adnan Adi, Diane Alber, Anthony Bolner, Amber Carmella, Graeme Hay, Elvira Hernandez, Katie O’Hara, Alyson Murney, Chris Narancic, Thomas Nicholson, Dean Nelson, Richard Reyher, Charisse Richards, Harold Simmons, Shawn Tugwell

Attendees ranged from folks like Alyson who is just starting in our community with four months of experience to individuals with over 30 years of experience!

There were so many other connections as this group represented all levels of experience at past and current companies like Ebay, GoDaddy, Iron Mountain, JLL, Morgan Stanley, PayPal, Stream Data Centers, Uber, United Metals, University of Arizona, Zayo, and many more.

This dinner raised $7,500 for the iMasons scholarship fund! Thank you to GoDaddy and Stream Data Centers who generously sponsored the dinner! Our community is strong and making a difference. We are Uniting the Builders of the Digital Age one professional at a time.

iMasons members, if you are interested in attending a dinner please contact admin@imasons.org. Also, watch for upcoming dinners at https://imasons.org/food-for-thought.

Sustainability Initiatives – APAC Global Member Summit Summary

Jun 19, 2020

Sustainability was front-and-center at our recent APAC Global Member Summit on May 21, 2020. Overall, the message was consistent: Sustainability matters, for the digital infrastructure industry, and the world, and while much progress has been made, there is still much work to be done.
