Food for Thought – New York
New York Food for Thought Dinner
iMasons and our Partners hosted a very special Food For Thought fundraising event in a luxury suite at Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 6, 2019. After sharing a meal in the suite and connecting with other members we enjoyed a performance by Citizen Queen, Rachel Platten, and Pentatonix!
Food For Thought dinners are members-only events that raise money for our scholarship fund supporting $1M Education Challenge that we launched in London in November of 2018. Just by showing up, each member personally helps raise money for scholarships, of which 50% are awarded to women. No money is expected out of their pocket. We just want their experience and expertise. We leave our companies at the door and connect as individuals. We have had two successful events in Palo Alto, CA and Phoenix, AZ raising $12,500 for scholarships of which half are targeted to be awarded to women.
The Madison Square Garden F4T event was extra special as the new and upcoming group Citizen Queen, includes Nina Nelson, the daughter of Dean Nelson, the Founder and Chairman of iMasons. In April, Citizen Queen was signed by RCA Records and selected to open for the Pentatonix world tour playing 31 stadium shows over 10 1/2 weeks. Madison Square Garden was the largest show on the tour and was certainly a memorable event. Shots from the opening event at Oracle Arena in Oakland California on 5/11/2019 are below.
Many thanks to Vapor.io and Packet for the generous donation to the scholarship fund to make this happen!
