iM Local Chapter Meeting – Nordics

iM Local Chapter Meeting – Nordics

iM Local Chapter Meeting – Nordics

25 September, 2018 |

Infrastructure Masons was founded in 2016 with an initial USA focus. However, iMasons is now established in EMEA and gaining greater momentum with the formation of iM Local Chapters.

The overarching aim of iMasons is to “Connect, Grow and Give Back” – An iM Local Chapter is a geographically specified area or region where the Digital Infrastructure Industry (End Users and Partners) would benefit from regional focus, cooperation and coordination.

Connecting with industry peers has always been important, but, traditional social and networking platforms are becoming less effective and relevant – they are simply too random. iMasons represent the “full stack” and we strictly maintain parity between End Users and Partners. iMasons is emerging as the platform for people in our industry to find the right connections and meet to solve common issues.

Jeanette Nilsson (iM Nordic Champion) organized a private dinner on September 25th and invited regional leaders to discuss the Local Chapter Proposition and to determine what benefits could be derived from setting up an iM Nordics Chapter. For example – are there issues better addressed collectively; such as fixing the talent gap – and – as Nordics are leaders in sustainability – would iM be a platform to further amplify this message and share expertise and experience globally?

We clearly have very passionate and positive colleagues in Nordics – huge opportunities to drive value through cooperation – and a great story on Sustainability – something close to the heart of people who live in the Nordics.

“The Nordics have a long tradition of operating sustainable critical infrastructure – we can, and will, give back our knowledge and expertise to help the next generation build sustainable digital infrastructure” – Peder Nærbø Founder and Owner at Bulk Infrastructure AS

“We in the Nordics are very passionate about the importance to transform the digital infrastructure industry into something that is sustainable in the long term.

I think all of us are excited about the idea of working with iMasons on important issues, including sustainability which is one of the most important tasks we have in our time.” – Patrik Öhlund, CEO at Node Pole

Our community is doing good things, but we are not an organization that accepts the status quo. We believe in human rights and we know we can do much more. We must take the necessary steps as individuals and as a community to make our contribution to help address racism and social injustice in the US and around the world.
